By His Grace, Maharaj-ji's American ashram has continued to grow and thrive through the seva and donations of the many devotees who come here. Over the years, the number of devotees visiting the ashram and Hanuman-ji's temple has increased greatly. Thus the blessing and responsibility of keeping the ashram functioning have gradually transferred from the few, through whom the initial inspiration came, to the many who now enjoy the fruits of that vision.

The ashram provides a place for diverse forms of spiritual expression - everything from drinking chai to formal puja and the feeding of those who come. Each of us benefits from the presence of this sacred space and knows in their heart what those benefits are. The continued prosperity of the ashram depends on all.

At this time the ashram is initiating The Miracle of Giving; a program to encourage sustained support. The goal of this program is to ensure that monthly expenses are met in a timely manner and to provide for the ashrams future. Current operating expenses for food, wages, insurance, utilities, etc. are $9,500 per month. This year, $3,000 per month is also needed for maintenance, including a new roof for the temple, critical sunroom repairs and necessary electrical upgrades. In addition, the ashram has plans for the future, which include expanded space for worship, purchase of adjacent land, and more guest facilities. Sustained support can provide for all these priorities.

Presently the Ashram is unable to meet its monthly expenses. This can change! You are invited to participate in The Miracle of Giving. If each devotee gives just ten dollars or more per month, the ashram will flourish. Your support will assure a stable foundation for the continuation and development of this sacred space. The Ashram sincerely thanks you for all your contributions.

Last year the "1008 Fund" was initiated with the goal of 1008 devotees giving a $108 (contribution) each per year. In 1998, 208 devotees participated. This is a promising start! Please help meet the yearly goal of 1008 devotees pledging to raise $108, 864.
