NKB ASHRAM - NEWSLETTER

Ram Ram
Greetings everybody!
This winter and spring have been busy here at Maharaj-ji's ashram. In November, Charlie who became caretaker last Bhandara, decided that he wanted the freedom to travel, and gave his notice. By Baba's grace, Terrell, a long time devotee, moved to Taos and was called to serve at the ashram when Charlie left. Thank You, Maharaj-ji! Terrell has settled in and is a graceful addition to the staff here. Another big event in December was the ashram's going on-line with it's own web site and e-commerce shop. It's been an exciting and challenging process and all of us have learned a lot, thanks to Baba and the expertise and patience of His webmaster Jai Rama.
In addition to these changes, there has been an unprecedented amount of committee activity and satsang involvement. The Planning Committee has been meeting nearly every week and is making great progress toward defining a master plan for the ashram. Also, due to the diligent efforts of the Fund raising Committee and Maharaj-ji's grace, the ashram has managed to meet its financial needs up to now.
With the end of winter and summer fast approaching, the garden
is back to life. Already, thanks to a few hardworking sevaks,
the greenhouse is alive with a multitude of various greens, the
garden beds are roto-tilled, amended and planted and there are
still trays of flower seeds sprouting in the greenhouse. Jai Ho!
Hanuman Jayanthi was a beautiful celebration,
108 beautiful Hanuman chaleesas were followed by a sumptuous bhandara
feast, prepared by Indian devotees mostly from the India
Palace Restaurant In Santa Fe.
Last summer, the Ashram was graced by the visit of our dear Guru datta Sharma, and this summer we are excited by the prospect of several of Maharaj-ji's devotees coming to visit. Subhash Arora from Rishikesh is expected at the end of June, our dear K.K. Sah is hopefully coming as well, and Raboo Joshi is expected with his wife for Maha Samadhi Bhandara in September. It is such a wonderful blessing to have Baba's Indian devotees come to His American Ashram; somehow His grace seems to flow even stronger.
Meanwhile, arati continues to be the thread that weaves the daily life of the ashram together. The weekly pattern of kirtan on Tuesdays and Chaleesas and prasad on Sundays continue to be a source of grace and light in the lives of those who come.
All is Maharaj-ji's Leela and for that, I am eternally grateful.
Hope to see you all here sometime.
In His Service,
Love and Pranams,
Hanuman das
